County Antrim
The home of Game of Thrones
From Dunluce Castle to the Giant’s Causeway, County Antrim is like something pulled from fiction. It’s no wonder, then, that HBO decided to film so much of ‘Game of Thrones’ here.
If you’re a GoT fan, you’ll recognise the county’s valleys, sandy beaches and waterfalls. If you’re not, then it’s a perfect excuse to go exploring (and then perhaps start with Season 1 to see if you can spot some of the shooting locations!).
This part of Northern Ireland is heaven for outdoors lovers. Here, you can sail away to Rathlin Island, drive the iconic Causeway coastline, and explore 800 years of history at Carrickfergus Castle.
