Then there’s Bamburgh with its eight miles of beautiful, golden sand – not to mention its spectacular castle.
Explore North East towns and cities
Wherever your caravan site is in the North East, you’ll have plenty of choice of towns and cities to visit.
Newcastle is a bustling metropolis, bursting with culture. You’ll find all the shops you could need, plus museums, theatres, restaurants – the perfect city break.
Durham is a beautiful university city, dominated by its spectacular cathedral. You could spend all day exploring its twisty back streets, full of quirky local shops and bars.
Or you could head north and visit Berwick-upon-Tweed, the northernmost town in England with its beaches, riverside walks and museums and galleries to explore.
From great golf to living museums
You’ll never be bored with a holiday home on a North East holiday caravan park.
There is a whole raft of top-notch golf courses to choose from, wherever you choose to base yourself. There are plenty of great spots for lake and river fishing, not to mention some great sea fishing.
You could step into the past at Beamish, The Living Museum of the North, or visit one of the many castles dotted around the county. Or, you could visit Harian’s wall, or take a tip over to Lindisfarne, the holy island.
Then there’s the wonderful Diggerland in Durham and the spectacular Angel of the North just outside of Gateshead.
