The glorious rolling Shropshire Hills are perfect for long hikes or gentle strolls, and they’re full of quaint little villages and towns to stop off for refreshments.
The lush forests of Cannock Chase are bursting with activities to try. There are the high-wire escapades of Go Ape, miles of mountain bike and hiking trails and a well-stocked cafe to refuel after your adventures.
Further south, the spectacular ridgeline of the Malvern Hills dominates the skyline. But there’s much more to the area with ancient woodlands and sprawling parkland – not to mention wildlife unique to its specific geology.
The West Midlands is a landlocked area, but with all that to explore, not to mention a whole network of canals that are perfect for walks and bike rides, you won’t miss beach access.

Then there’s Stratford-Upon-Avon, a charming market town that was the birthplace of William Shakespeare and boasts several theatres to visit.

Whatever you like to do, there’s plenty to keep you busy from your caravan site in the West Midlands.
There are plenty of golf clubs to choose from, including the world-famous Belfry, not to mention a great selection of fishing lakes.
If you’re after excitement then you can visit the legendary Alton Towers with its huge selection of adrenaline-pumping rollercoasters and rides.
And there are a whole host of museums and attractions dotted around the West Midlands – the Sea Life Centre and Cadbury World in Birmingham, the Transport Museum in Coventry, Dudley Zoo and Castle and many, many more.
