The pretty highland town of Aviemore has nature on its doorstep. Set in the Cairngorms Natural Park, it fills up with hikers, cyclists, climbers and adrenaline junkies throughout the year.

A highland town with a dramatic backdrop

Skiers flock to the town’s slopes in winter, while many families take their bikes to the National Cycle Network in spring. One trail takes you through sprawling woodland and open heather-filled moorland before concluding in Carrbridge.

From the Landmark Forest Adventure Park to the award-winning Cairngorm Brewery, Aviemore has attractions for all ages. Which means there’s also plenty of places to stay!
