Based in the smallest county in England, Rutland Water is without a shadow of a doubt one of the best nature reserves in the country. Set around a reservoir this diverse, beautiful park spans over 4,200 acres. Every inch is packed full of wildlife.

A county of good taste

It’s the ideal location for spending the day on foot exploring the walking trails and taking in the stunning scenic views. Pack a picnic and make a day of it. It’s a bird watcher's paradise with 35 hides for you to check out. Make sure you keep your eyes open for the resident Osprey which can often be seen soaring over the lagoon on the hunt for fish.

For those wishing to take to the water take a trip to the sailing and watersports centre is a must. Here you’ll find windsurfing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and a whole host of other activities. For those who like to fish Rutland is packed to the brim with trout and pike growing up to 40lbs.
