Harrogate

Harrogate is perhaps best known for Betty’s Tearooms (one of the Queen’s Yorkshire haunts), but there’s plenty of other stuff going on here too.

Unwind next to Yorkshire Dales National Park

Skipton Castle, for instance, is one of the best-preserved castles in Britain and has been standing for a whopping 900 years! Head north east and you’ll find Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden, a magnificent estate established by monks. This medieval deer park has earned World Heritage Status and is perfect for travellers of all ages.

In-between, there is RHS Garden Harlow Carr, Rudding Park Spa, Mother Shipton’s Caves, Ripley Castle, and a whole load of other attractions to keep the family entertained.
