Renewable energy
It’s also why we’ve built and installed residential park homes powered in part by renewable electricity, from solar panels and heat pumps. And it’s why we’re trialing all electric solutions for our holiday homes.
Like our customers, we’re passionate about protecting our precious planet. After all, our holiday homes, lodges and residential park homes are located in some of the country’s most naturally beautiful places, so it’s only right that we do all we can to minimise their carbon footprint and impact on the environment. That’s why we’re committed to sustainability throughout our operations.
We've installed 2 x 1MW boilers which are powered by our waste wood offcuts which is converted into renewable energy in our production facilities.
We use a fleet of electric bikes to get around between our manufacturing sites.
We're switching our fleet vehicles to electric and hybrid and installing double the amount of on-site charging points.
It’s also why we’ve built and installed residential park homes powered in part by renewable electricity, from solar panels and heat pumps. And it’s why we’re trialing all electric solutions for our holiday homes.
So, now, we’re working with partners to establish the carbon footprint of the UK’s holiday parks and residential parks. We started with our own project to calculate the embodied carbon and lifecycle emissions of our holiday homes, so we can make our models ever greener and more energy efficient. That work will contribute to an industry-wide drive to reduce emissions. It’s a mission close to Willerby owners’ hearts. We know if there’s one thing they have in common, it’s a love of the great outdoors.
