Dr Hilary Jones and Willerby unite to launch staycations campaign

It was the news we’ve all been waiting for, and when the Government announced that holiday and caravan sites could begin to reopen from July, there was a huge sigh of relief and excitement from the entire tourism industry.

As holiday parks across the UK continue working tirelessly to get ready for a safe reopening, we’ve also been working hard behind the scenes on a campaign with TV doctor, Dr Hilary Jones, which we’ve aptly named ‘The Great British Break Off’.

Alongside Dr Hilary, we are urging the public not to rush to foreign climates, but instead stay right here in the UK, as staycations could be the key to happiness post lockdown.

We surveyed 2,000 people and have produced a detailed report, which uncovers exactly what holidays mean to you and your mental health and overall wellbeing. The report delves into the benefits of taking time out, short breaks versus longer holidays, and who we prefer to holiday with, to name just a few topics.

We’re expecting staycations to boom and be more popular than ever, as we all crave the great outdoors and a change of scenery.
