Q. Tell us about your job and what it involves.

A. It’s very varied and strategy focused and I work as part of a team which looks at business improvement and change. I work on a number of different projects, from commercial and systems to data integrity and reporting.

When a department wants to introduce a new project to improve or change something, we look at how they want to do it, how it may affect other areas and its impact on the wider business. We help them to see it through from start to finish, assess any risks and benefits
and support them to deliver it effectively and efficiently.

Q. What’s the best thing about your job?

A. It’s being able to work across lots of different areas of the business. I work with a lot of people and different teams, which I enjoy because I’m a people person. When you know you’ve helped to facilitate a positive solution for a colleague it gives you great job satisfaction.

Q. What does being part of the Willerby team mean to you?

A. The people make it for me. We’re a family, we look out for each other and pull together. Willerby has allowed me to progress and develop personally and professionally and improve my skills. Willerby invests in its people and I really appreciate those opportunities.

Q. If you didn’t work for Willerby and you could do any job in the world, what would it be?

A. I really wanted to join an airline as cabin crew when I was younger but I wasn’t tall enough. I’d still love to do that now if I didn’t work at Willerby. I like the vibe and the atmosphere on the plane because people are excited to travel.

Q. What’s your guilty pleasure?

A. I like listening to country music, especially on my way into work, and I like to grow my own fruit and vegetables at home. I love gardening because it’s a good relaxation technique. I can’t say I’m an expert but I enjoy it and we compare our home grown produce at work.
