A city rich in history
Arrive on one of the cities surrounding roman roads before taking the cobbled streets to explore Lincoln Castle, originally commissioned by William the Conqueror during the late 11th century. The cities showstopper has to without a doubt its cathedral. Situated at the top of Steep Hil, this gothic building towers above the surrounding area in all its grandeur.
Despite its size, Lincoln has all the charm and character of a thriving market town. Filled with a wealth of pubs, independent shops, and quaint tea rooms there’s plenty to explore. Make sure you finish your day with a visit to Brown’s Pie shop. Their famous pastry and pie perfection is simply something not to be missed!
