From London to The Wash
The East of England is home to Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk, some of England's most scenic and least densely populated counties.
This includes destinations like Holme, in Cambridgeshire, which has the lowest surface point in Britain (nine feet below sea level). In the south, Greater London is on your doorstep; to the north is The Wash, a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
Suffolk's Thread Trail weaves its way through the county's former wool-producing villages, while neighbouring Cambridge is a city stocked with ancient colleges, leafy meadows, and winding rivers. And who could forget Norfolk? The gorgeous seaside town of Hunstanton is an ideal base for family holidays.
