An annual tradition since 1685, the horse fair is now the largest of its kind in the world and attracts thousands every year in June to the area.

Appleby has much more to offer than just its horse fair, it’s a great starting point for outdoor adventures and retains much of its original character today. For those wandering by the river or visiting the church, little has changed in the last century.
