Those staying at Kennford International Caravan Park, Crealy Greater Adventure Park & Resort and Holmans Wood Holiday Park are in for a festive treat with the Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market. The historic city of Exeter hosts the Christmas market on Cathedral Green every year and supports local businesses and performances from the city. The Cathedral Market has an exciting mix of continental and local crafts and gifts and this year, the ‘food village’ is back by popular demand, selling festive foods from hog roast and baklava to Belgian chocolates and mulled apple gin. This year also promises more entertainment than ever, taking place on the bandstand including local bands, carol singers and choirs.
Exeter Cathedral Market runs from 15th November – 16th December 2018.
Settled around the Somers Wood Caravan Park, Kingfisher Holiday Park and Island Meadow Caravan Park, Birmingham’s Frankfurt Christmas Market is the place to go during the festivities. The signing of the Frankfurt-Birmingham Partnership Agreement in 1996 led to unprecedented collaborations, initiatives and projects between the two cities, which has allowed the Birmingham Christmas market to stay traditional to its German heritage. Listen out for sizzling bratwurst and clinking tankards while the aromatic smell of Glühwein fills the air, this market is the largest German market outside of Germany and Austria and offers a truly Christmassy atmosphere. Taking place in the heart of Victoria Square, the vast spread of seasonal stalls offers a range of traditional goods and gifts as well as native food including pretzels, schnitzels, and roasted almonds.
The Frankfurt Market runs from November 15th to December 23rd 2018.
One of the UK’s biggest Christmas markets, The Manchester Christmas Markets are a short drive away from a number of sites including Moorlands Caravan Park and Royal Vale Caravan Park.
